Keith Martin

I noticed Keith Martin was letting his beard grow through these Covid-19 times and I thought it was time to do a portrait of him.

I invited him over to my studio and worked with the Fujifilm GFX 50r mirrorless medium format camera system.


It was great to spend time with a very interesting and talented man.


Here is his bio:

Keith Martin is a photo-based artist working in the Pacific Northwest. He has spent his life engaged in creative practice being continuously involved in a variety of aspects of art and design.


He has been active in the artist-run centre movement, as an educator of design, and running his own design practice for over 3 decades. Notably, since 1996 he has designed and illustrated over 40 postage stamps for Canada Post and this work remains nearest and dearest to his heart.
