Iceland 2020

I have just returned from my second trip to Iceland with Wild Photography Holidays.

Geraldine and Martin led our group on a wonderful adventure into the North and then over to the East Coast of Iceland.

We traveled across endless beautiful landscapes, full of dramatic mountains, fjords, craters, bubbling pools, frozen lakes, glaciers, waterfalls, black sand beaches and much much more.

Part of Iceland’s charm is the ever-changing weather. Snow, ice, rain, sleet, cold and of course, the wild winds. Very challenging to say the least, but it does make for incredible photographic possibilities.

Thank you to Geraldine and Martin of WPH for taking such good care of us, keeping us safe and leaving nothing to chance. The incredible locations, great people and the food!!!

If you want a real adventure, you have to go to Iceland in Winter, and Wild Photography Holidays will make it a great adventure.

This image is technically good, in terms of sharpness and exposure, but it is the simplicity of the composition and its symmetry that are most impressive. There are some strong shapes in it too. It just shows that there are good images to be captured everywhere - you just need to keep your eyes open and be patient.
